A new shisha lounge has just been started up in a quaint alley off of St James Street. Called “Shisha Bar - All Flavor”, it is accessed by St James Place, itself an old laine in the Upper section of Little Laine. As such, it is ideally placed, redolent of a typical café in the Middle East and North Africa.
Shisha Bar is an establishment where patrons share shisha (flavored tobacco) from a communal hookah or nargile which is placed at each table. There is also a television, aimed at World Cup aficionados. As an annex to the Izzie Café, patrons can get food and refreshments too.
Teams in the World Cup with the hookah culture are: Iran (group F), Algeria (Group H) and, at a pinch, Greece (Group C). None are expected to survive in to the knockout stage, so savour the Shisha Bar while you can.
