An 18-year-old woman was found lying in a lay-by with fractured ribs and head injuries
Police are appealing to the public for information after the woman was found lying injured in a lay-by on London Road, Crawley, at 11.50pm on June 2.
The woman was found by police on the A23 London Road, Crawley near County Oak Retail Park and was taken to hospital for treatment for her injuries.
Acting Detective Sergeant Daniel Gower said: "The woman has received medical treatment and has been discharged from hospital. We would like to speak to anyone who might have been in the area at the time and be able to provide clarity as to what happened that night.
"Anyone with information is asked to call 101 or email 101@sussex.pnn.police.uk quoting serial 1738 of 2/6"
