DOZENS of pupils from Seaside Primary School joined thousands of others across the country by taking part in Walk to School Week.
Students at the Lancing school took part in the week, which was aimed at promoting the health benefits of parents leaving their cars at home and getting to school on foot as well as highlighting pedestrian safety.
As part of the week, four primary schools in West Sussex danced their way to the front entrance of their buildings where they were welcomed by the samba drumming band Horsham Boom Tribe.
A spokesman for Living Street, a national charity which organised the week, said: “Walking to school is a brilliant way to get active and healthy.
“It’s also a great opportunity for children to learn vital road safety skills and make sure they’re alert and ready to learn at the start of a new day.”
