Missing 87-year-old man with dementia found "safe and well"
Missing St Leonards man James Gates was found by a police search and rescue team at 4.15pm today (Wednesday June 4) on a pathway near Redgeland Wood near to Crowhurst Road, St Leonards.
Mr Gates, 87, who has dementia, went missing yesterday from at his home in Kite Close.
Inspector Mark Bright of the Hastings Neighbourhood Response Team said: "I would like to thank all the officers who helped search for Mr Gates, and the public for their support on our social media sites.
"The family have been informed that their relative is safe and well. A job well done."
