GUITARIST Slash has been invited to visit Brighton and Hove.
The Guns N’ Roses guitarist was invited by Hove MP Mike Wetherley during a visit to the House of Commons, where the musician also played live.
Mr Wetherley welcomed Slash to the jungle of frontline politics at Westminster as part of his Rock the House initiative to champion the British creative industries.
He did not fret about inviting Slash – who he described as “one of greatest guitarists in history” – to come to Sussex after he played in Parliament on Monday night.
Mr Wetherly said he is “working on” getting Slash to visit Hove.
Mr Wetherley said: “It was a privilege to welcome such rock icons to Parliament and I am grateful for Slash’s support for my Rock the House competition.
“It was an absolute pleasure to be a part of the launch of Slash’s new album.”
