I AM writing to say that on Friday evening (May 30) someone had obviously gone out and left their dog alone in a garden in the Bavant Road area which is near Preston Park.
All evening we could hear the poor dog barking constantly, which must have worn the poor creature out. And when a dog barks constantly you just know it's been left alone. Not only is this an upsetting sound to neighbours but also upsetting to know that a dog has been left alone for hours and consequently distressed.
Why do people own animals if they cannot take proper care of them? Surely if they are going out they could kindly ask another animal-loving friend to look after them for a while if they are otherwise going to be left totally on their own.
It’s not acceptable either for neighbours or the poor animal that was left alone.
