A man will appear in court charged with begging.
The 52-year-old man is due to appear in court over the offence outside Marks and Spencer in Terminus Road, Eastbourne.
Lyndon Roberts, of no fixed address, will appear at Hastings Magistrates’ Court on July 16.
His bail conditions prevent him from going into Terminus Road between Eastbourne railway station and
Pevensey Road. He is also not allowed to enter Langney Road between the junctions with Terminus Road and Cavendish Place.
Sergeant Julian Williams said: "We have had complaints from businesses and members of the public concerning street drinking and begging in the town centre in recent weeks.
"This sends out a clear message that this behaviour will not be tolerated and will be dealt with robustly. We have targeted individuals and this is one example.
"Extra police patrols will be focusing on street drinking and antisocial behaviour in the town centre and promenade to continue to target this problem."
Anyone with information about antisocial behaviour should call 101 or email 101@sussex.pnn.police.uk.
