Three men have been arrested over drug offences.
On Friday (30 May) officers from Chichester's crime and operations team stopped a vehicle in Oliver Whitby Road and arrested two men, one aged 45 and one aged 31, on suspicion of possessing Class A drugs with intent to supply.
A quantity of what is believed to be cocaine worth more than £2,500, some class B drugs and a quantity of cash were seized. Following interview, the two men were released on bail until 1 August pending further enquiries.
In a separate incident during the same evening, officers from the team detained a 20-year-old man suspected of dealing Class A drugs - believed to be cocaine - in the village of West Marden, north-west of Chichester.
A subsequent search of an address linked to the suspect led to the recovery of more drugs. Enquiries continue, but meanwhile the man has been released on bail until 16 July.
PC Martin Price, of the Crime and Operations Team, said: "Drug dealing will not be tolerated and these arrests serve to underline the fact that police are constantly monitoring the situation and are determined to take firm action against anyone suspected of being involved."
Anyone with information about possible drugs offences is asked to phone Sussex Police on 101 or email 101@sussex.pnn.police.uk. Alternatively, they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers free and anonymously on 0800 555 111.
