A four year old boy was knocked down by a car.
The boy was crossing the A22, Lower Dicker, just west of the Boship roundabout shortly before 8am June 2 with his mother who also had a pushchair and another child with her when he was struck by a silver Toyota Yaris close to Metamorphosis Interiors.
The four-year-old, from Lower Dicker, suffered a fractured collarbone and was taken to Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton for treatment.
PC Stuart Kenway said: "I am trying to find people who were in the area and saw the boy being knocked down or the car being driven in the moments beforehand.
"If you saw anything at all, please contact me."
