Residents cannot travel miles to hospitals
P Berry is right in that Southlands Hospital in Shoreham must serve an NHS medical function whether this be a new clinical unit, or X-ray/screening clinic. (Letters, May 30)
The population of Sussex has increased. Residents cannot be expected to travel miles to hospitals in other areas which are already full. When voting next year please consider which party will best preserve our NHS.
