An unknown car has forced a vehicle off the road in the early hours of the morning.
Police are appealing for witnesses to a road traffic collision on the B2145 at Norton Corner, north of Selsey, at around 2am on Sunday morning.
An unidentified vehicle is believed to have forced a BMW 318 saloon off the road, through a fence and into a field. The vehicle did not stop.
The 23-year-old BMW driver, from Mitcham, Surrey, was unhurt but his front seat passenger, a 20-year-old woman from Selsey, was taken to St Richard's Hospital, Chichester, for treatment to arm injuries. She was later released.
Anyone who saw what happened or who recalls seeing vehicles in the area at around 2am is asked to phone Sussex Police on 101 or email collision.appeal@sussex.pn.police.uk, quoting serial 204 of 1/6.
