There is “extreme concern” for a man who went missing while he may have been looking for his dog.
Timothy Cattermole, Goring By Sea, went missing from his home on Saturday.
He is understood to have been upset about his dog, which was reported lost on Saturday, and may have gone searching for it.
The 54-year-old called police at 8.25pm to ask that they look after his elderly mother and then appears to have left his home in Thakeham Drive
The black-and-white lurcher dog was found on Sunday morning and police are keen for Timothy to get this news and return home.
He may have initially gone to an open area south of Goring Hall Hospital where he often walks his dog.
He is described as very fit and police say he may have travelled some considerable distance.
Mr Cattermole is described as white, 5' 6", of medium athletic build and has dark, greying hair that is receding.
If you see him or know of his whereabouts, call Sussex Police on 101 quoting serial 1401 of 31/05.
If he is danger or in need of medical attention, please dial 999 immediately.
