A woman has been assaulted in a road rage incident because her partner was driving too slowly.
The 35-year-old woman was left with a fractured eye socket after she was attacked after an argument in Crawley Leisure Park.
At about 11.10pm on May 23 the victim and her partner were leaving Crawley Leisure Park in their blue Mini when the people in a silver hatchback behind them began honking their horn at them.
They stopped the Mini between Pizza Hut and Charlie Choys and he and his partner argued with the man and woman from the hatchback.
When the 35-year-old got back in the Mini she was punched repeatedly in the face by the woman from the hatchback.
The couple drove off but parked their Mini in Kiln Mead where the couple from the hatchback again confronted them.
Detective Constable Penny Furtado said: "This was a nasty attack that has left the victim with a fractured eye socket.
"Several cars drove past the vehicles while the couples were arguing although none of them stopped. I would like to speak to anyone who saw the Mini or the hatchback parked at Crawley Leisure Park or in Kiln Mead.
"You may not have not seen any violence but you could be able to identify the vehicles involved."
