There was a bonfire near The Level in Brighton on Wednesday (May 21).
The smell was terrible – this wasn’t after 7pm but lunch time.
I came out of the London Road Co-op at 1pm and the vile smell of burning hit me in the face.
It appeared a garden in Union Road had a bonfire. Many people were upset by the fumes.
I then could smell it on the bus. It was filling the whole area with a terrible aroma of ghastly burning.
