A pub will be serving up pints of contaminated water to raise money and highlight the global threat of unclean water.
The clean water organisation Fresh2O has joined forces with the White Hart Inn, Buxted, for a special event on Wednesday, June 4.
Special optics in the pub will be filled with dirty water but fitted with a filter.
Tyrone Fitzgerald, landlord, said: “It seems like a crazy idea but the water is clean and drinkable when it passes through the filter.”
He added: “No one will have to down a whole pint and there |will be bottles of water and our usual range of beverages at the event.”
Fresh2O supplies special water filters to thousands of communities all over the world.
A pint of water will cost £1 and proceeds will go to the Fresh2O fund. The White Hart event is the first in a planned nationwide “Dirty Water Tour” of UK pubs.
