A shop assistant received cuts to his face in an attempted robbery.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident which took place in Alto Windscreens, in Camden Street, Portslade, on May 20.
Shortly before midday three men walked into the shop and asked for money.
A member of staff was assaulted during the attempted robbery and received a couple of cuts to his face.
The trio then ran away towards Shoreham.
DC Sarah Barrett said: "The man who asked for the money is described as white, between 5' 7" and 5' 8", slim with light brown hair shaved at the sides with a gelled quiff. He was wearing a black Superdry jacket.
"This happened in broad daylight and we are appealing to anyone who might have witnessed the attempted robbery or the men running away.”
