A man is being treated in hospital with a fractured skull following an assault.
The 22-year-old victim was attacked after he left the Bringing it Back dance event at the Grasshopper Pub in Tilgate, Crawley.
He was walking with two friends in Tilgate Parade at around 1am on May 10 when there was an argument with another man.
The victim, who lives locally, ended up on the ground and he and his two friends were treated at East Surrey Hospital in Redhill for cuts and bruises.
However some days later it became clear the 22-year-old also suffered a fractured skull and he was re-admitted to hospital.
He is still receiving treatment, although his injury is not life-threatening.
A 36-year old local man has been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm and a 34-year old local woman has been arrested on suspicion of causing actual bodily harm.
After being interviewed both were released on police bail until August 13 while enquiries continue.
Detective Constable John Hord said " The Bringing it Back event was well attended and this incident would have happened shortly after people began to leave the Grasshopper.
"I am keen to speak with anyone who was on the Parade and heard a disturbance or saw an incident outside the Co-op around 1am."
