The coastguard is out at sea looking for the potential owner of a windsurf board that washed ashore.
Two boats and a helicopter have been searching the area off the coast of Eastbourne for about 40 minutes, but so far the search has not produced anything.
Passing yachts have also joined the search as they search for the person who might have once been in control of the board.
An Eastbourne RNLI spokesman said: "We launched the search on the assumption that the windsurf board belongs to someone.
"So far nobody has been found, so the hope is that it's just a rogue board."
More to follow.
