The first annual celebration of the rejuvenation of The Level will be held in June.

Last year the Brighton park was successfully restored in a £2.4 million redevelopment scheme following years of disrepair.

The anniversary of the refurbishment will be celebrated at an event featuring community groups and residents associations.

There will be an entertainment marquee featuring music from the Brighton and Hove youth orchestra, samba bands and more.

There will also be flower exhibitions, story-telling and chess. Food will be on hand from local outlets and a bar supplied by The Druids Arms.

The event is open from 10am until 6pm on June 14 and is completely free.
