Anti-fascists and UKIP supporters are set to clash at a euro elections meeting tonight.
Ukip are hosting an election rally in Ralli Hall in Denmark Villas in Hove but Unite Against Fascism supporters have promised to protest outside the event.
The two groups clashed at a previous meeting at Portslade Town Hall in February.
UKIP has asked Sussex Police arrest anyone calling their party members ‘fascists’.
A spokeswoman for Sussex Police said: "Sussex Police are aware of the UKIP meeting taking place in Hove this evening.
"UKIP has sent the force a press release about the meeting. There will be an appropriate police presence outside the hall and if necessary, there will be a proportionate policing response to any incident that might occur."
