TV presenter Davina McCall wished cyclists well as she waved them off on an annual bike ride.
Around 350 women took part in fourth Davina’s Action DIVA Sussex cycle ride(COR), which set off from the East Sussex National Hotel and Golf Course in Uckfield yesterday (Sunday) morning.
Davina was unable to take part in the ride herself as she is still recovering from completing a Sport Relief challenge in March.
Davina said: “As a committed cyclist I can’t think of a better way to support my favourite charity and I want more people to get on their bikes and join us for this special event.”
Proceeds will go to the Action Medical Research charity, which the former Big Brother presenter is an ambassador for.
David Graham, head of community and events fundraising at Action Medical Research, said: “We’ve all watched in awe as Davina pushed herself to the brink to complete her Sports Relief challenge.”
“Davina always gives her all and we hope that more people sign up to experience her passion, enthusiasm and dedication.”
Action Medical Research funds research into conditions affecting children and babies.
