Worthing pier closed due to strong winds
Worthing pier has been closed because of strong winds.
Worthing Borough Council said: "Due to strong winds, Worthing pier has been closed to ensure public safety. Beach office team will monitor and re-open when safe to do so."
According to the Met Office, winds of up to 50mph have been recorded across the south coast today - including in Worthing and Brighton.
