Thieves burgled a house by gaining entry through a cat flap – the second incident of its kind this month.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the burglary of a home in Collington Avenue, Bexhill, between 6pm on Friday May 2 and 2pm on Tuesday May 6.
It is believed the suspect reached through the cat flap to turn the key which unlocked the back door giving him entry. A Nokia Lumia mobile phone and £60 were stolen.
Last week a property in Downlands Avenue was also burgled under similar circumstances.
Any witness or anyone with information is asked to call 101 or email 101@sussex.pnn.police.uk quoting serial 750 of 5/5. Alternatively, call the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
