An accident involving a motorbike has closed one lane on the A27 eastbound between the A2038 and the A23 London Road .
The incident is causing congestion on the A27 at the Shoreham By-pass to Southwick Tunnel while the outside lane is closed.
Emergency services are currently on the scene and traffic conditions are expected to return to normal from 9.45am.
A Sussex Police spokesman said: "At 7.35pm on Wednesday 7 May police were called to the A27 eastbound between the Devil's Dyke Road and A23 London Road junctions, Brighton, following a collision between a car and a motorcycle. The outside lane was blocked and eastbound traffic backed up to the Southwick Tunnel. The motorcyclist suffered wrist and arm injuries."
