A blind man was victim to a hit and run collision at a pedestrian crossing.
Police are investigating the incident at Marina, St Leonards, at about 8.30am on Friday May 2.
The blind pedestrian, who was carrying a cane, was left dazed and injured in the middle of the road at Marina's junction with London Road.
He was able carry on crossing the road with help from a member of the public.
He has since visited hospital and is awaiting the result of scans for injuries to his left foot.
PC Mark Botley, of Hastings Neighbourhood Response Team, said: "If anyone saw what happened or who has other information that may enable us to identify the vehicle involved, I would urge them to get in touch."
