A flock of spring lambs were in sheep-shape form as they took part in football competition with a difference.
Ram-ires, Gareth Baaa-rry and Danny Woolbeck were among the stars as teams gathered at the ground at Hassocks for the first ever lamb football tournament.
They may have been a little woolly about the offside rule but there were no lack of skills when it came to tactics as the teams lined up.
The lambs were kitted out in miniature hand-made strips and guided by sheepdog managers, with the winning team for each match decided by the first to get all players across the goal line and into the back of the net.
The fun event was organised by NOW TV, to highlight its coverage of Premiership matches featuring Chelsea, Liverpool, Everton, Sunderland, Norwich City and Manchester United this Easter.
The games were captured on ‘lamb-cam’ under the expert watch of pundit Chris Kamara as the teams battled it out.
Kamara, who reported on all the action live ‘meadow-side’ said: “I know I’m famous for saying ‘unbelievable, Jeff’, but I really don’t know how else to describe what I saw today.”
