Dog plunges over Eastbourne cliff after chasing seagull
A dog plunged over a cliff after chasing a seagull.
The Spaniel was seen pursuing the bird on Wednesday (April 2) afternoon at Whitbread Hollow near Eastbourne.
After flying off towards the sea, the dog followed and fell to the beach below.
The coastguard was sent out and found the dog but were unable to retrieve it.
Eastbourne’s RNLI recovered the Spaniel before it was rushed to a local veterinary practice.
The dog’s condition is unknown.
