An Olympic volleyball player cut the ribbon as a new venue opened.
Lucy Boulton, who was part of the Great Britain Olympic team, cut the ribbon of the brand new clubhouse building at Yellowave Beach Sports Venue on Madeira Drive.
Lucy ran two volleyball masterclasses for a happy crowd of 40 people to celebrate the opening.
Katie Mintram, Yellowave director, said: “The new building is absolutely gorgeous. It is the only place in Brighton that you can hire that is literally on the beach.”
The new clubhouse will host different health and sports activities including yoga, Thai Chi, fitness training and static swim conditioning.
Ms. Mintram said: “We're also hoping to attract toddler groups, business meetings and sports clubs. It really is a unique spot to meet.”
Anyone interested in hiring the clubhouse or running their own class can contact Yellowave on 01273 672222 or visit www.yellowave.co.uk.
