A Brighton family of five generations gathered to celebrate the birth of a new child.
Emily Dove, 98, became a great-great-grandmother again after the birth of Harrison Draper - adding to the family's five generations which have roots in Sussex back to the 15th Century.
The family tree from Emily to Harrison is linked through Emily's daughter Patrica Hussey, 78, her daughter Gina Coe, 57, and then her son Lee Draper, 33.
Emily, born in 1915, has eight grand children, 11 great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.
Patrica said: “I think it is very special.”
She said that she has traced the family tree in Sussex as far back as 1475 where they found a direct blood relation - a landowner called Richard Fogden who was born in Fittleworth.
Emily's father was killed during the First World War at the Third Battle of Ypres at Passchendaele when she was just two years old.
She has lived in Brighton all her life, often having to spend the night in their Anderson shelter at their Whitehawk Home during the Second World War Patrica told of how she was supposed to be going to the cinema on the day of the infamous Kemptown Cinema bomb but was ill and her mother did not let her go.
She added that her uncle, Douglas Patterson, went to the cinema that day with a friend.
The family previously featured in The Argus in 2011 as part of the seaside memories feature with a photo of the then three generations of the family taken in 1962.
