There are only a few days left to nominate people for our exciting new awards or the county’s youngsters.
The first ever Youth in Action Education Awards will be held at the American Express Community Stadium on Sunday, June 8.
Every week, dozens of youngsters feature in the pages of Youth in Action for their academic conquests and sporting prowess – these awards aim to recognise their success further.
A panel of judges will have the unenviable task of whittling down nominees to determine the winners for each of the 17 categories.
Editor of The Argus Michael Beard will head up the panel, and is excited to bring the awards to the people of Sussex.
He said: “We are absolutely delighted to be launching these awards because it gives our readers the chance to reward someone for their achievements which usually go unnoticed and unheralded.
“We anticipate an incredible response from the schools, parents and pupils, which we hope will make these awards the success they deserve to be for the nominees.”
The MC on the night will be Shoreham-based professional speaker and business consultant Sarah Hopwood.
It’s not just students who will be celebrated at the Amex, but also the people responsible for getting them to the top of their game.
From the top teachers to the best dinner ladies – these awards aim to celebrate everything that is great about education.
The only thing left to do is get voting at www.theargus.co.uk/yiaawards where there is a video to guide you through the categories.
