Police seized a Porsche – and then published a picture of the car on Twitter.
The white vehicle was seized on Thursday, March 27 travelling between Lewes and Falmer on the A27.
Sergeant Dan Pitcher, of Sussex Roads Policing, told The Argus: “The vehicle was being driven by a male in his 20s from Tunbridge. Following enquiries into the status of his driving licence the driver was reported for traffic offences and his vehicle was seized by police using powers under section 165a of the Road Traffic Act 1988.
“It is the responsibility of the driver to make sure that they have a valid driving licence that entitles them to drive.
“In addition to this there is a responsibility to check that there is a valid policy of insurance that covers the vehicle.
“Just because a driver is physically in possession of a driving licence police will check with the DVLA that it has not expired or been revoked.”
