I believe Prince Charles has a reasonable expectation of privacy regarding any private correspondence with ministers.
Since the start of this millennium, many pundits declared (wrongly in my view) that Prince Charles would not become King.
I feel the Prince is entitled to comment on issues close to his heart such as agriculture and architecture.
My own correspondence to an MP must be kept private, I am told, and then shredded when they leave office.
I am pleased the Attorney General is appealing against the decision of the Court Of Appeal to the Supreme Court in order to protect the Prince’s privacy.
After all, many judges refused to disclose whether or not they were members of the Freemasons some years ago on the grounds that “their human rights would be infringed”.
Since ministers will have moved from office during the past ten years, I see no reason why correspondence before 2010 should be available to anyone unless it is deemed a threat to our security.
