Four sheep died in a barn fire in the early hours of this morning.
Firefighters from Newhaven station were called to Stud Farm, in Telscombe Village, shortly before 2.30am.
On arrival, the roof of the barn was said to be “well alight”.
Two crews used high pressure hose reels to put out the barn blaze.
Sadly four sheep died and a 4x4 quad bike was destroyed by the fire.
A fire investigation is ongoing but the cause of the blaze is thought to be accidental.
