So once again we are told that a scheme is what the city needs – homes for 140 people and 500 students costing £100 million (The Argus, March 22).
We are always being told that there is a housing shortage and that we need to build more houses, yet whenever a scheme is rolled out it always involves more student accommodation.
If we need more houses for the population of Brighton then why do we not build more houses for the population instead of students and office space, of which there seems to be plenty lying empty around the city already.
