An 11-year-old boy was rushed to hospital after being hit by a car in Seaford.
Shortly after 8am this morning police were called to Vale Road, Seaford, after the boy had been hit by a black Vauxhall Zafira car.
The Kent, Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance landed at the scene but the boy, at first thought to have been seriously hurt, was well enough to travel by land ambulance.
He was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital, Brighton, where his injuries are currently being assessed.
The car was being driven by a 35-year-old local man, accompanied by three passengers.
