Whereas I have no objection to young people enjoying themselves today, I do object when this enjoyment affects other people’s lives.
Both my wife and myself are old-age pensioners.
Tell me, then: why should we and other people in our area be subjected to these youngsters, sometimes as many as four at a time, skateboarding down our road?
This happens at all times of the day and night.
They seem to have little or no respect for other people’s safety.
What does it take to stop these people, who seem to have very little control over their boards?
The authorities seem to be powerless to do anything about it and turn a blind eye.
The council has designated areas for people to go skateboarding, so why not use them?
If nothing is done there could be a serious accident.
