I agree with M Davis (Letters, March 18) concerning people eating food on the bus.
Last week I thought I would try the bus for a change for my journey into town.
I caught the bus. It went three stops before the driver had a ten-minute break. Throughout the journey, cans and bottles were rolling up and down the bus.
On the return journey, I had to endure a young child standing on the seat in front and facing me with mucus running from its nose while eating a bag of chips, some of which were falling on the floor and over me.
When I eventually got home, I found I had sat on some chewing gum while on the bus.
It’s back to the car for me.
