Prince Charles and Camilla will visit Rudyard Kipling's home in Burwash tomorrow. 

The Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall will tour Bateman's, the 17th century house home to the Jungle Book author. 

They will meet staff and volunteers at the home in East Sussex the novelist and poet bought for his family. 

Surrounded by the wooded landscape of the Sussex Weald, the house provided Kipling, a very private man, with much needed sanctuary.

The rooms, described by him as 'untouched and unfaked', remain much as he left them, with oriental rugs and artefacts reflecting his strong association with the East.

The gardens include a 17th century water mill, which is still used today to produce flour.
