I agree with Keith Corbett (The Argus, March 6) regarding the work at the Rotunda Pond in Preston Park, Brighton. Yet again our council and its workers have not listened to the experts who know better.
This is not the first time our council has made a massive mistake; we all remember last year when work was carried out in Preston Park Rockery at the wrong time, when we lost many fish, and also when roses were sprayed with some noxious substance and destroyed.
It is sheer carelessness and heads should roll.
Also, what happened to our once beautiful flowerbeds alongside the park? They were a sight to behold for all to see, especially our visitors.
I have never seen them so neglected. Some of the beds have been lengthened, some shortened, some grassed over, and some left to grow wild. What a disgrace.
