Police are investigating a hit and run after a dog was killed while following its owner across a pedestrian crossing.
The incident took place in De La Warr Road, Bexhill, at 2pm on Saturday.
A Sussex Police statement said: “The car did not stop following the collision and we believe there were witnesses to the incident.
“This incident took place at approximately 2pm and we have not been able to establish details of the vehicle involved yet.
