Two separate car crashes - including a seven-vehicle shunt - caused major delays this morning.
Both collisions took place shortly before 8am.
A Sussex Police spokesman said: "Emergency services were called to a seven-vehicle shunt on the A22 at Golden Cross, Hailsham, just before 8am.
"No was injured. The vehicles had shunted into the back of each other. The collision is causing delays while the vehicles are being cleared from the road."
Referring to the second crash, he added: "A Renault car and a Yamaha motorcycle collided on the A275 Cooksbridge to Lewes road near its junction with the B2116 at Offham.
"Traffic was delayed in both directions until the road could be fully reopened approximately an hour later. No serious injuries were reported."
