A worker is critically ill in hospital after plunging eight metres through a barn roof.
The 22-year-old fell through the roof in Mere Lane, Cross-in-Hand, near Heathfield, on Wednesday at 10am.
A Sussex Police spokeswoman said: “Emergency services were called after a man fell through a barn roof.
“The 22-year-old man was airlifted to Kings College Hospital, London, with serious head injuries where he is in a critical condition.
“The health and safety executive have been informed and police are working with them in a joint investigation at this time.”
Paramedics attended the incident and confirmed the man was seriously injured.
