Unfortunately I have to drive twice a week from Newhaven to Rottingdean at about 8am in the morning.
Oh dear, what a nightmare! Many drivers cut around the back of Peacehaven as a short-cut, pushing to be let out on to the coast road from one of the roads west of Ambleside Avenue.
This causes massive hold-ups to the people who are in the queue already on the coast road.
The other morning I sat at the traffic lights at the bottom of Ambleside for three sequences before the traffic moved.
Also, some motorists driving up past Telscombe Tye leave hundreds of yards of a gap between them and the vehicle in front, which has a real knock-on effect for the drivers trying to get through the traffic lights at the bottom of Ambleside.
And as for the bus lane, I am so tempted to join the other drivers who ignore this as being a bus lane and use it as a quick cut-through. One more gripe: what is it with drivers nowadays not using their indicators? Laziness in the extreme. Can’t be bothered to flick a switch!
