Animals at Alfriston's Drusillas Park have had their very own awards ceremony.
The Sussex zoo hosted its most glamorous event of the year with the 2014 Animal Oscars as visitors voted for their favourites in a host of different categories.
Headlining the show were the meerkats, who snapped up the coveted Best Animal award after receiving the highest number of sponsored adoptions in the past year.
Best Original Soundtrack went to the ring-tailed lemurs, who impressed with their complex array of sounds – including a howl that can be heard up to half a mile away.
The flamingos and their striking pink plumage stole the show to grab the Costume Design award, while Rear of the Year went to the black crested macaques.
Finally the Lifetime Achievement award was received by Slasher the Rockhopper penguin.
Slasher has been at Drusillas Park for more than two decades. He arrived in 1993 and will celebrate his 22nd birthday in May.
Drusillas Park is open daily from 10am and is located just off the A27.
