This terrified traffic information board had only one message for puzzled drivers yesterday – “AAAAAGGGGG”.

Instead of giving out helpful motoring tips, the sign appeared to be silently screaming.

Puzzled passerby James Nolan, pictured, said: “I hope it doesn’t mean the apocalypse is coming.”
