A former headteacher has found a novel way of recycling old books by helping schoolchildren in Africa.
Retired headteacher and former BHASVIC teacher Dr Stuart Newton is looking for donations of A-Level and GCSE textbooks in subjects such as biology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, health, environmental science, English, business, economics, geography and accounting.
The teacher is also looking for science equipment, specimens and visual aids to help children in Sierra Leone.
He is storing the donations in his garage and is hoping to fill it before sending it on to help educate children in Africa.
If you can help, contact Dr Newton on 01273 586227, 07957949657 or email s_newton100@hotmail.com.
