Once again someone is saying we should renovate the West Pier with someone else’s money (Letters, October 30).
And then in another letter on that page we have someone else wanting free parking.
I would suggest that Brighton and Hove City Council convert the West Pier into a three-tiered banjo-shaped car park projecting into the sea.
Cars could drive in on the left, around the circle at the end to park and drive back out on to the seafront road afterwards.
I am sure the parking fees would be welcomed by our cash-strapped council.
