After months of renovation work, Brighton railway station’s new facilities were officially opened on Friday.
Councillor Denise Cobb, Mayor of Brighton and Hove, was there to cut the ribbon and was joined by MP Caroline Lucas, Chris Burchell, managing director of Southern and Tim Robinson of Network Rail.
Passenger Neil Bull, 39, of Hove, said he thought the new space created at Brighton railway was fantastic, adding: “I thought the opening was great. For me, it’s the perfect mix of new and old.
“It’s convenient as there is a lot more space to move around so you’re less likely to bump into people – I think it’s very pleasant.
“I find that when you have got more space people are just that little bit more relaxed which is nice.”
