Brighton's very own cheeky chappie presented a cheque to a worthwhile charity last week.
Max Miller lookalike Bob Eaton joined faces from the Max Miller Appreciation Society to present a cheque to the Carers Centre for Brighton and Hove on Thursday.
The £1,200 donation was raised at the society’s annual charity garden party at the Pavilion Gardens cafe in August.
The cash will be used to help fund the centre’s operations at its base in Bedford Place, Brighton.
Averil Older, chairman of the Max Miller Appreciation Society, said: “We are very pleased to be able to help make life better for the many local people who selflessly care for family and friends.
“This year was the fifth annual garden party. Our fundraising for local charities would not be possible without the generous support each year of David Sewell and his family at the Pavilion Garden Cafe who provide the food and drink for the event.”
Max Miller, considered the greatest stand-up comedian of his generation, was born in Brighton in 1894 and died in the city in 1963.
