The merry-go-round of travellers finally stopped in Hollingbury Park last week after they were removed from Carden Park within hours of arriving.
The Argus article (October 2) commented that they could be there for weeks – do you know something we don’t?
Perhaps the Greens are happy for them to stay as this whole debacle is caused by their failings with the Horsdean site.
I may be cynical but it seems odd that this area of the park had grass more than a metre high, having not been cut at all in 2013, yet it was cut two days before the travellers arrived.

I see this traveller camp in Hollingbury Park has received a visit from the council’s grass-cutters, who appear to have very kindly mowed routes to each parked caravan.
As a council taxpayer, I wonder when our verges will receive a visit from the council.
As ever I am astounded by our Green council's priorities.
